The Woodborough Web

Welcome to the December 2021 Edition

Here we are at the end of another year – and what a year it has been!

With most local activities shut down in the early months of the year it was quite a struggle to keep finding suitable content each month for the Woodborough Web. We have a number of contributors who must be thanked individually for their valiant efforts in coming up with material month after month through the dark period of early 2021.

Jean Powley supplies fresh articles on our garden birds every month, news of the allotments comes from Mike Hope, poems arrive from Jean Cave, Dr Phil Rayner keeps us informed about Calverton Practice, Stephen Smith tells us what’s happening in the local church bell tower, and we learn about the events of the ‘Over the Rainbow’ Parkinson’s support group from Sandra Peak.

Don’t underestimate how difficult it can be for these contributors to come up with something fresh each and every month!

Their efforts are very much appreciated, and enabled the Woodborough Web to continue into the better summer months.

If anyone else would like to contribute items for the WW, please do. If you fancy writing about something (anything) which would interest the readers, please do. Perhaps you are a writer of short stories – if so, we’d love to publish them. Maybe there’s a photographer out there who could send in a local picture every month?

Letters are another area where you can contribute – perhaps you have an opinion you need to air or a question that needs an answer? The ‘Letters’ page is at you disposal.

May I also thank our sponsors, Timermanns Garden Centre and Woodborough Parish Council without whom there would be no Woodborough Web!

Finally, I hope that you continue to enjoy the Woodborough Web through 2022 – but remember, without your input the pages would be empty – so I look forward to hearing from you in the coming months!

Wishing you a happy Christmas and a healthy new year.
